What Makes You Interesting?

May 12, 2020

While standing under the shower this morning, I started musing, as you do in the shower. What is it about showers that sets off a meandering train of thought that often leads to interesting or important ideas? Is it the water falling on the head? Is it setting off the important trigger points that are the switches for the flow of chi? Anyway, moving on.

A set of memories was released, as often happens, but this time they led to an interesting question. What makes us interesting to others?

Years ago when I was studying psychology, the leader asked us to pair up and ask our partner to relate something interesting about themselves. The only thing I could think of when it was my turn to tell my partner something interesting about me was to tell her about some interesting people I knew. So the interesting thing about me was the people I had met.

This morning this memory came back to me so I followed it into the murky depths and wondered what I’d say today.

What would you say today about yourself? What makes you interesting? I’d really be interested in any thoughts you have on the subject.

One interesting thing — write it down below or send it to me by e-mail. I’m interested.
